Deck of Cards

This printable deck of cards is 2.5 by 1.75 inches. A standard mid-range size for miniature decks, they're easier to hold in your hand than a full-size deck, easier to fit on your table, but not so small as to make handling them difficult. (I have made smaller sizes that are available to download as well, but I don't recommend them.)

The faces of the cards come in two main types--simple and normal. The simple ones have only a single large pip in the center (as well as the two corner pips), and the normal cards have the correct number of pips and images of chess pieces for the noble cards and jokers. Also included are cards with nothing in the center so you can put your own pictures on them. See the readme file for my suggestions on doing this. 

To celebrate the recent release of my game Monster Training, I have included a set of cards with classic movie monsters on the faces. Copyright being what it is, I acquired these from old public domain magazines and enhanced them to the best of my ability.

The backs come in color and in black and white versions for cheaper printing. They can be used on the cards as well as the box you print for them. Again, please see the readme file and the card box itself for further suggestions.

The box will hold cards printed on any weight of card stock but heavier (thicker) is a tighter, and generally better fit.

Feel free to use these cards for almost any purpose, commercial or otherwise--just don't sell these files themselves.

A Few Tips For People Unfamiliar With Printed Cards And Boxes: The front sides of the two tapered side flaps on the top shouldn't be cut too deep/loose--you want the top cover to wedge in there. Don't bend the top cover until the rest of the box is done with cards inside, this makes a better bend. Card stock cards need to be broken in a bit before the cards can be slid over each other and easily fanned out (rub them a lot and don't worry about small bends.)
